Some links on this site pay us a small affiliate commission, which helps keep the site running. It does not change what you pay, and it does not touch which products we pick or where they rank.
What that means in practice
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then sign up or buy, the company pays us a share of the sale or a fixed fee for the referral. You pay the same price you would pay going direct.
What commission does not do
- It does not influence position. Scores come from weighted criteria, and commission is not one of them. It is not a field the scoring engine can read.
- It does not decide who gets in. A product with no affiliate programme can be our first pick. When that happens, the link goes to the vendor site and looks exactly the same.
- It does not soften the criticism. Every product on this site has a published list of what does not work about it. A product with no drawbacks does not get published.
How we check ourselves
An automated check compares the average score of products that pay us with the average score of products that do not. A gap wider than half a point is flagged for a human to review before anything ships.
What we never do
- We do not sell your contact details, and we do not run a lead-generation business.
- We do not publish invented user reviews, testimonials or user counts.
- We do not quote a price without the date we verified it.
Networks and programmes
We work with affiliate networks and with vendors directly. Where a programme has its own disclosure requirements, we follow the stricter of that requirement and our own rules.
