The price on the category page is the price for four
Redbubble is the pure artist marketplace among the four picks in our comparison. Independent artists upload a design, and each one can be bought on dozens of products: the mug we looked at was offered on more than 50 other items, from stickers to canvas prints.
Start with the price, because the first one you see is not the one you pay for a single item. The mugs category on 28 October listed a classic mug "From €12.88". On the product page the same mug was €16.10. The €12.88 is the price each when you buy four or more, and €13.69 is the price each for two. Redbubble runs these multi-buy discounts all the time, 15 percent off two items and 20 percent off four, and the category page shows the deepest one.
The same design also costs different amounts from different shops, because each seller sets its own price. Prices on this page are in euros because that is what Redbubble showed a visitor from the Czech Republic.
It scores 7.3 under how we rate and it is our pick for finding an artist's design.
What you can send back
Less than at any other pick.
If the item "arrives in less-than-perfect condition", you can return it free within 30 days of the latest estimated delivery date. Redbubble makes it right "with a replacement order or a Redbubble voucher, minus the shipping fees". The policy describes no cash refund.
If it arrived fine and you simply do not like it, the policy has nothing for you, with one exception: most tops, phone cases and stickers can be exchanged for a different size, style or colour in the same window, again as a replacement or a voucher minus shipping. A mug cannot.
Two smaller terms. Orders placed between 1 November and 31 December can be returned until 31 January. Returns worth more than $250 before discounts carry a 20 percent restocking fee.
Compare CafePress, which refunds for any reason within 30 days, or Spreadshirt, which exchanges even a product you personalised. Redbubble is the one to buy from when you are sure.
Printed near you, mostly
This is where Redbubble is strong. Orders go to third-party printers in 11 countries: Canada, Australia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK, the US and China. Most are in the same region as the delivery address, so a European order is usually made in Europe and an American one in the US.
The exceptions matter. A few products ship only from the US, a few from the UK to Europe, and an order with several product types can arrive in separate parcels from different countries. Redbubble's own customs article warns that European buyers may see charges on items printed and shipped from the UK. That article was last updated in October 2022 and says nothing about the 2026 changes.
Who made this design
On the page for the mug we priced, "Significant Otters - Otters Holding Hands" by StudioMarimo, the "Mugs you might like" row showed the same title sold by four other accounts, at €15.93 to €18.77.
We cannot tell you which is the original, and neither does the page. If supporting a particular artist is part of why you are buying, check the artist's shop and their other work before you add it to the cart.
Who should buy it
Buy from Redbubble for stickers, T-shirts, phone cases and prints with an independent artist's design, especially in Europe, where it is usually printed close to you. Buy four if you want the price on the category page.
Do not buy from it for anything you might want to return, or for a gift with your own name or photo on it, which Redbubble does not do. Zazzle and Spreadshirt both do.
Return terms, print locations and prices on this page were read on Redbubble's site and help centre on . We placed no orders and publish no delivery times.
