The $29 Chat plan is the only self-serve tier and the only one billed monthly. It carries seats, chat and model choice but no workflow credits. Workflow credits start on Growth at $1,000 per month billed annually, then $2,000 for Expansion and $3,000 for Scale, so there is nothing between a small team and a five figure annual contract. Copy.ai was acquired by Fullcast on 15 October 2025 and the product is being folded into that platform as Fullcast Propel.

ProIncludes 1 seat$69$59Canvas, agents for core marketing workflows, browser extension · 2 brand voices, 5 knowledge assets and 3 audiences · History and backups kept 7 days · 7-day trial that requires a card and converts automatically · No API access, and no published word, generation or credit allowance
BusinessQuote only, 12-month minimum commitmentNot publishedUnlimited brand voices, knowledge assets and audiences · API and MCP access, Jasper Grid, no-code custom agents · SSO, SAML, SCIM, admin controls and team usage analytics · A base credit allowance whose size is not published

Priced per seat, with annual billing about 20 percent cheaper. Business is quote only and starts at a 12-month commitment. Jasper publishes no word, generation or credit allowance for Pro anywhere: the Fair Use Policy reserves the right to throttle against parameters it does not state, and the credit rate card referenced in the help centre is not published. The pricing page sells Pro with 2 brand voices, 5 knowledge assets and 3 audiences, while the Jasper IQ help article says IQ is available on Business plans, so the vendor contradicts itself on what Pro includes.

Strengths and weaknesses

Copy.ai

What works

  • Five seats included at $29 per month, where competitors charge per seat
  • Switch between OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models inside one subscription
  • Unlimited words in chat rather than a monthly word or credit cap
  • Annual billing drops the price to $24 per month

What does not

  • API access is reserved for the enterprise tier
  • The next plan above $29 is $1,000 per month billed annually, so growing teams hit a cliff
  • The entry plan carries no workflow credits, so workflows, agents and tables are not part of what you buy
  • The product is being folded into Fullcast, a revenue operations platform, after the October 2025 acquisition

Jasper

What works

  • Brand voice profiles are built from up to eight samples and apply across a whole content series
  • Agents cover named marketing workflows rather than one document at a time
  • Per-seat pricing is public, with annual billing about 20 percent cheaper
  • Eighteen integrations are named publicly, including Word, Google Docs, Slack and Webflow

What does not

  • At $69 per seat per month it costs roughly nine times the cheapest tool here
  • The self-serve terms let Jasper develop its models on your inputs and outputs, and the only opt-out is an email
  • No word, generation or credit allowance is published for Pro, and the fair use policy can throttle against limits it never states
  • API access, Grid and unlimited brand voices are Business only, on a quote and a 12-month commitment

Frequently asked questions

Is Copy.ai cheaper than Jasper?
Yes, and by more than the headline suggests. Copy.ai is $29 per month for five seats, Jasper is $69 per seat per month. For a three-person team that is $29 against $207, verified 29 August 2026.
Which one is better for a single writer?
Copy.ai on price, Jasper on output consistency across a series. Below roughly four posts a month the price gap is hard to justify.
Does either have a free plan?
Neither. Jasper offers a 7-day trial on the Pro plan. Copy.ai listed no free plan or trial length on its pricing page when we checked on 29 August 2026.
Which has API access?
Neither one, on the plan you can buy without a sales call. Jasper reserves the API and its MCP server for the Business tier and Copy.ai reserves it for enterprise, so in both cases the answer is a quote and a commitment rather than a checkbox.
