Pros and cons

What works

  • Every paid plan carries the full feature set, so the only thing you pay more for is list size and sending
  • Comfort at the anchor is the cheapest credible paid plan in this comparison
  • Automations, sites, landing pages and seats are all published as numbers per plan
  • Fourteen day trial of everything with no credit card

What does not

  • The free plan stops at 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month, which is a demo rather than a working tier
  • Comfort caps sends at ten times your subscriber band, so a big list mailed often needs Power
  • The free plan gives community support only
  • A promotional code for half off the first month was running on the pricing page, so the headline can move

In more detail

One feature set, one variable

Most email tools sell you a feature ladder and a list size at the same time, so an upgrade is two decisions wearing one price. MailerLite does not. Every paid plan carries the same feature set, and the only thing that moves the bill is how many subscribers you have and how much you send.

That sounds like marketing until you read the pricing page, where it holds up. Comfort and Power differ on seats, automations, landing pages and sending volume. They do not differ on what the product can do.

It is the reason this is our Best Overall pick in the email marketing comparison, and it scores 8.3 under how we rate.

What eighty nine dollars buys at ten thousand subscribers

We price every service in this category at the same ten thousand subscribers, because entry prices in this market compare nothing. At that size Comfort is $89 a month, or $80.10 billed yearly, and it includes 100,000 monthly emails, three seats and fifty automations.

Set that against the alternatives at the identical list size. Mailchimp Standard has a standing price of $135 for 120,000 sends. ActiveCampaign starts at $149 and gives you one seat. Klaviyo is $150.

Only Kit beats it, by being free at that size, and Kit charges for the automations that MailerLite includes.

The send ratio is the real plan decision

Ignore the feature list when choosing between Comfort and Power, because it is the same list. Choose on sending.

Comfort caps monthly emails at ten times your subscriber band. At ten thousand subscribers that is a hundred thousand emails, which is ten sends a month to your whole list. If you mail weekly that is comfortable. If you mail three times a week, or you run automations that fire per subscriber, you will find the ceiling.

Power at $129 makes emails, seats, automations and landing pages unlimited. The forty dollar difference is not buying features. It is buying the removal of a ratio.

Where the free tier stops being useful

Be clear about this one, because the category is full of pages listing free plans as though they are comparable. MailerLite free is $0, and it covers 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month, with two seats, three automations, one website and one landing page, on community support.

That is a demo. It is enough to build a signup form and test a send, and it is not a tier you run a business on. Kit's free plan reaches forty times as many subscribers and beehiiv's reaches ten times as many, so if free is what you actually need, MailerLite is not the answer.

What MailerLite gives you instead is the cheapest credible paid step in the category, and a fourteen day trial of everything with no credit card, which is a better way to evaluate than a permanently crippled tier.

The things worth knowing before you sign up

Three, all checkable.

A promotional code for half off the first month was running on the pricing page when we read it, so the headline you see may not be the standing price. Annual billing saves ten percent, which is published as a figure rather than as a claim.

The pricing page offers both dollars and euros with a toggle that works, which sounds trivial until you try to price Brevo from outside its home region and find you cannot.

And the free plan gives community support only. Paid support starts at 24/7 email on Comfort and becomes 24/7 live chat on Power.

Who should buy it

Almost anyone running a list between a few hundred and a few tens of thousands who wants one predictable bill and no feature gates. Small businesses, freelancers, anyone who wants websites and landing pages in the same tool as the newsletter.

Do not buy it if you need a real free tier, because there is not one here. Do not buy it if your email needs to know what somebody bought, because that is a job for a profile based tool. And if your list is large but you mail it rarely, the per send model at Brevo will cost less than any per subscriber plan, including this one.

Prices, send allowances and plan limits on this page were read from the USD view of the vendor pricing page with the subscriber slider set to ten thousand, on .
