What Demio is for
There are two kinds of webinar tool. One is a meeting platform that has been taught to hold a larger, quieter audience. The other is built around the fact that a webinar is a campaign: people register, they get reminded, some of them turn up, and everyone who did not turn up should still get the replay.
Demio is firmly the second kind, and that is the whole argument for paying for it when you already pay for something that can technically hold a hundred people in a call. It scores 8.2 under how we rate and it is our Best Overall pick in the webinar software comparison.
The other thing worth knowing in the first paragraph: nobody installs anything. Hosts present from a browser tab and attendees join from a link. GoTo and Zoom both put a desktop client in front of the host. For an internal training session that is irrelevant. For a cold marketing list, every install step is attendance you do not get back.
What it costs at a hundred attendees, and why the headline is not that
We price every tool in this category at the same hundred attendees and one host, because entry prices in this market compare nothing at all.
Demio's headline is $45 a month billed yearly. That plan holds fifty attendees. At our anchor it is not the plan you can buy, so the real figure is Growth, whose smallest band is a hundred and fifty attendees, at $80 a month billed yearly or $117 billed monthly, per host.
Set that against the alternatives at the same anchor. WebinarJam is $39 and GoTo Webinar is
$59for five hundred seats. EasyWebinar needs $116 to clear the same bar.
So Demio is neither the cheapest nor close to the most expensive. What you are paying the difference for is described below, and if it does not apply to you, the difference is not worth paying.
One structural warning. Demio prices on two axes at once, host count and attendee band, and the host axis is per seat. A single presenter running monthly webinars pays one Growth licence. Four people who each want to run their own sessions pay four, and that is where the arithmetic turns against it compared with Livestorm or eWebinar, both of which give team members away.
Registration, reminders and replay as one product
This is the part that justifies the second subscription.
A Demio event has a registration page you did not have to build, a reminder sequence that goes out on its own, a live room with polls, handouts and a call to action you can push on screen mid-session, and a replay page that the people who missed it get automatically. All of that is the product. None of it is a Zapier chain you maintain.
The room itself is unremarkable in the good sense. Up to four people on stage on Starter, six on Growth and ten on Premium, sessions of three, eight and ten hours respectively, and administrative seats at fifteen, twenty five and fifty. Those are published numbers rather than adjectives, which is more than most of this category manages. Premium is $196 a month, quoted identically whether you pay monthly or yearly.
Registrant data leaves cleanly through the mainstream email connectors, an API and webhooks, which matters more than it sounds, because a webinar is only worth running if the list it produces ends up somewhere that does something with it. Read the integration row carefully though: the HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo and Pardot connectors are Premium only, which is the highest plan and a long way above the anchor.
Where the plan ladder bites
Two limits are worth naming before you buy.
The first is that Starter has no automated webinars at all. If your plan is to record one good session and run it on a schedule forever, Starter cannot do it, and you are on Growth from day one. That is a defensible place to put the feature and it is a genuinely annoying one, because fifty attendees and an evergreen funnel is exactly the shape of a small business getting started.
The second is that there is no mobile host app. You present from a computer.
There is also the ownership question, which some buyers ask and few pages answer. Demio is owned by Banzai International, so the company you buy from is not the one that built the product. We record that as context rather than as a warning, and we have not tracked the pricing page for long enough to say anything about how it has changed under that ownership. If it starts moving, this page will say so.
Who should buy it
Buy Demio if the webinar is a marketing asset rather than a meeting: you want registration, reminders and the replay handled by the same tool that runs the room, you want your audience to click a link and be there, and you have one or two people who host.
Do not buy it if your only constraint is audience size, because GoTo gives you five hundred seats for less. Do not buy it if the whole plan is evergreen, because eWebinar does that specific job better. And think carefully if you have four or more hosts, because per-seat pricing on top of attendee bands compounds faster than it looks.
One caveat on the trial before you rely on it. Fourteen days gets you the Growth feature set, capped at twenty attendees and a one hour session. That is enough to learn the product and not enough to run a real webinar through it, so plan the evaluation accordingly.
