The only shop on this page
Six of the seven platforms in our comparison connect you to somebody else. You buy from a seller, the platform holds the money or handles the refund, and if the seller is bad that is the risk you took.
Banggood sells to you. It is a retailer with its own stock, more than 30 warehouses around the world and its own name on the invoice. Everything that follows comes from that one difference, including the price.
It scores 7.0 under how we rate and is our pick for electronics.
A warranty, which nobody else here offers
This is the argument for paying more, and it is a strong one.
Banggood publishes its warranty category by category, and the clock starts when you receive the item: 15 days on batteries, 30 on radio control drones and toys, 90 on chargers, power banks and much of its consumer electronics, 180 on a general catch-all, a year on laptops, smartphones, tablets, projectors, 3D printers and power tools, two years on solid state drives and furniture, and three years on an e-bike frame. The remedy is a reship, a refund or a repair, depending on the category.
No consumer marketplace on this page offers a warranty of its own. Temu, SHEIN, AliExpress, DHgate and Wish give you a return window, and after that you are left with whatever statutory rights your country gives you against a seller in another jurisdiction. Alibaba offers a year on participating machinery, and Alibaba is not selling to consumers.
Buy a drone from a marketplace and a failure in month four is your problem. Buy it here and it is Banggood's.
Read the exclusions, though. Clothing, shoes, home textiles and decorations are outside the warranty. On anything bought at a large discount, a snatch deal or half price and over, a refund is the only remedy. Rooting a phone or opening a device voids it. And every return has to be authorised by Banggood's support team before you post anything.
Fourteen days to change your mind
And then the part that sits oddly next to a two-year warranty.
The no-reason return window is 14 days from receipt for most categories, including toys and radio control, smartphones, power tools and 3D printers. Laptops, tablets, monitors, projectors, home appliances, e-scooters and e-bikes get 15 days, and furniture and an "other products" group get 30. That is the shortest headline window in this comparison, a day under AliExpress. DHgate's not-as-described route, at seven days, is shorter still, but DHgate does not lead with it.
You pay to send it back unless it is a quality fault. Banggood states the customer pays "the return shipping fees and any customs fees or duties incurred during the return process" for personal-reason returns, a cost nobody thinks about until they are paying it. The one published exception is Furniture Outlets, where Banggood arranges a free pick-up in Europe, Norway aside, and covers the shipping in the US.
The item has to come back unopened and unused, so a fourteen day window for anything you need to try is shorter than it looks.
Customs, and a cover you have to buy
EU VAT has been in the selling price since July 2021, so there is nothing extra to pay on that. If a courier charges it again, Banggood refunds the VAT against the invoice, though not the courier's handling fee.
Duties are different. Banggood does not collect them at checkout. It sells a tariff service with the order instead, and only if you bought it does the reimbursement apply: customs bills you, you send the paperwork, and Banggood pays back the duty and processing costs "not exceeding 60% of the value of the item". Without the service, the duty is yours.
That is worse than SHEIN, which puts duties and VAT in one checkout total, and worse than Temu, which clears EU customs for you. It is better than AliExpress and DHgate, which state that duties are never covered. And it is a process rather than a promise: you pay the courier, then you claim.
None of the Banggood tax pages we read mentions the 2026 changes to either the EU or the US low-value import rules, and its general tax article is dated September 2021. On that it is in company with all six of the others.
Who should buy it
Buy from Banggood for hobby electronics: radio control, drones, 3D printers, tools and gadgets, the categories it has chosen and stocked properly. You will pay more than at Temu or AliExpress and you will get a warranty and a single counterparty, which for anything with a motor or a battery in it is the right trade.
Check whether the item ships from a local warehouse before you order, because part of the range does and it changes both the wait and the customs position.
Do not use it for general shopping or for clothing. Open the box on the day it arrives, because fourteen days is short. And if you buy the tariff service, read the cap, because sixty percent of the item value is not the same as being made whole.
Return windows, warranty periods, the tariff service and the VAT position on this page were read from the Banggood help centre on . We placed no orders and publish no delivery times.
