The short answer
ClickMagick is the best ad tracking software for most advertisers: it sends real sales back to the ad platforms on every plan, publishes every price and refunds a first month. RedTrack is the value pick, with every price and overage rate published. Triple Whale is the free start for online stores, and Hyros is the one for high-ticket sales made on a call.
Every price on this page is quoted at the same size: one advertiser sending about 50,000 visitors a month from paid ads, who wants the sales sent back to the ad platforms and multi-touch attribution. All six tools were read on , off their own pricing pages and terms.
That size is where the entry plans give way. ClickMagick Starter tracks 10,000 visitors and has no multi-touch models. Voluum Profit tracks a million events and has no Conversion API at all. Triple Whale Free attributes first and last click and does not send anything back to the ad platforms.
What each one costs at 50,000 visitors
The whole comparison in one paragraph. RedTrack Brand is $99 a month for a store tracking up to $250,000 a year, with multi-touch attribution and the Conversion API. RedTrack Solo, for an affiliate funnel, is $169 for 5 million events. Voluum Profit is $149 without the Conversion API. ClickMagick Standard is $199, because Starter cannot hold the traffic.
Three cannot be priced from their own websites. Triple Whale publishes its free plan and nothing else; multi-touch starts on Foundation, priced on your annual sales. Hyros quotes one plan on a call, priced on the revenue it tracks. Cometly sizes its price to your monthly pageviews and quotes it.
And no two tools count the same thing. ClickMagick counts visitors. RedTrack counts events for affiliates and revenue for stores. Voluum counts events, and on its larger plans ten impressions count as one. Triple Whale and Hyros price on revenue, Cometly on pageviews. Work out your own number in each unit before you compare a single price.
Everyone ranking for this term sells one of the products on it
The three pages ranking at the top for "best ad tracking software" are each published by a tracking vendor, and each puts itself first. Voluum's list opens with Voluum, wetracked.io's with wetracked.io, RedTrack's with RedTrack. None of them prices the tools at one size, and none says where the Conversion API sits in each price list.
We have a commercial relationship with one tool on this page. The ClickMagick link is a referral link and pays us if you subscribe. The others pay nothing at the time of writing, and the scores come from the criteria on how we rate, which never see which links pay.
The feature that decides it: sending sales back
Most people now buy ad tracking for one reason. Browsers and phones block the third-party tracking the ad platforms relied on, so Meta, Google and TikTok see fewer of the sales they caused and optimise for the wrong people. A Conversion API connection sends each sale from your tracker to the platform directly.
Where it sits in each price list matters more than any feature grid:
- ClickMagick: every plan, from $79 a month.
- RedTrack: every paid plan, and free for one store on Relay.
- Triple Whale: from Foundation, through its Sonar feature, at an unpublished price.
- Hyros: included in its one plan.
- Cometly: included in Core.
- Voluum: an add-on on Agency at $799 a month billed yearly, included from Enterprise.
That list is most of the reason Voluum, which scores well, is not in the four.
Refunds and contracts
The terms differ more than the tracking does.
ClickMagick gives new customers a no-questions-asked 30-day money-back guarantee on their first account. RedTrack makes monthly fees non-refundable in all circumstances and recalculates an annual plan at the monthly rate if you leave early. Triple Whale's paid plans are twelve-month subscriptions, even when billed monthly. Hyros sets a term in your order that renews automatically unless you cancel 30 days before it ends. Cometly makes every fee non-refundable. Voluum lets you cancel any time and keeps the plan running to the end of the cycle.
If you are not sure a tracker will fit, that list is the order to try them in.
Pick order is not score order
ClickMagick scores 8.0 and takes Best Overall: the Conversion API on every plan, multi-touch attribution and fraud protection from Standard, published prices and a refund if the first month fails. Its weakness is that it publishes no overage price above its visitor caps.
RedTrack scores 7.8 and takes Best Value, because it is the only tool here that publishes everything, including what going over costs, and its store plan starts at $99. Read its refund terms before you pay.
Triple Whale scores 7.6 and takes Best Free for online stores. The free plan is useful on its own; what it leaves out is multi-touch and sending data back to the ad platforms.
Hyros scores 7.3 and holds the specialist role for high-ticket and call-based sales, which it serves more directly than anything else here, with a setup team and a guarantee. Our ClickMagick vs Hyros comparison sets the two side by side.
Voluum scores 7.4, above Hyros, and is not a pick. It is the deepest tracker here for affiliate media buying, but the Conversion API costs a Business plan, and RedTrack serves the same buyer with it on the entry plan. Cometly scores 7.2 and is the answer to a narrower question, B2B pipeline, at a price it does not publish.
For the reasons people leave ClickMagick specifically, our ClickMagick alternatives page matches one tool to each.
Why there is no accuracy figure on this page
Every tracker in this category claims it catches more sales than the ad platforms report, and several publish percentages. Every figure we found came from the vendor's own marketing or a customer quote, with no method attached.
We compared published prices, plan limits, terms and documented features. We did not run the same campaign through six trackers and count the sales. Nobody should take an accuracy figure from a page that did not measure it, including ours.
